Mr. O'Neil did a lot of good via Rising Tide Capital and in other ways but I respect him for rarely if ever appearing on CNBC where the usual suspects mingle to tell investors very little about market trends or value. True, his Investors paper could never match the WS Journal but had more data of use to those who studied the charts. He had a good run and my sympathy to his family and colleagues.

I was very saddened to learn of Bill's passing. I first met him in at a seminar for CAN SLIM that he gave with David Ryan ~ 1993/1994 timeframe. I had the good fortune see him present many more times and to speak with him on several occasions. He was always very upbeat, not just about teaching people to improve their lives through investing, but also in his outlook for our nation and its economic potential. I feel blessed to have been able to learn so much from Bill and his team at IBD. Many of my closest friendships are with people that I have met through the CAN SLIM community.
